Hatty's original outfit

These are the original clothes I made for Hatty from the Holly Hobby pattern. The pattern had puffed sleeves which I altered, but otherwise I followed the instructions. The dress is a little wrinkled, also her red sweater has rubbed a bit on the petticoat so it looks a bit shabby..I really should wash it! The shoes are made from the pattern, with felt. The socks were cut and sewn to fit, using real leftover socks (not in the pattern).

Ok, back to work now...

You made those? They look so vintage and well-made, very impressive sewing skills. What a lucky doll to have such stylish clothes.

Yes, I just followed the pattern. At the time I wasn't really using my sewing machine yet, so they're done by hand, which is neater but time consuming. Plus I did French seams so there wouldn't be fraying.
I'm sorry to say they probably look vintage due to needing a washing! Plus the pattern is for an old-fashioned style.
